Taylors College Sydney offers dedicated pathway programs to help international students transition onto a degree at the University of Sydney, one of the most prestigious and popular institutions in the world and ranked 19th in the QS University World Rankings 2024.
The courses offered by the college allow students to develop core academic skills whilst developing their English language abilities.
They’re aimed at students who don’t quite yet meet the criteria to directly apply to the University of Sydney, with two course options available.
Both have excellent success records – 89 percent of University of Sydney Preparation Program (USFP) graduates and 100 percent of High Achievers Preparation Program (HAPP) graduates received an offer from the university in 2023. And in 2024 a new curriculum will begin for USFP courses, refining the program to better fit the needs of students.

From July 2024, Taylors College Sydney will be implementing a new Curriculum for the University of Sydney Preparation Program (USFP) across Standard, Intensive, and Extended streams. Students that successfully complete will continue to have access to a wide range of University of Sydney bachelor degrees across business, computer science, engineering, health sciences, law, etc.

Applicants for the Intensive Foundation Program must have achieved superior grades in English and relevant academic subjects. Students applying for the Standard Foundation Program must have achieved at least average grades in English and relevant subjects. The Extended Foundation Program is designed for students who do not qualify for the Standard program, or who want to develop a more solid foundation in key subjects such as mathematics or the sciences. Forecast results are accepted where appropriate.

Taylors College offers personal support and counselling services to all students, addressing a wide range of concerns from academic and wellbeing-related issues. Dedicated counsellors are readily available to listen and assist individuals in navigating their challenges.
For students under 18, Taylors College provides additional support from the under 18 coordinator. This coordinator ensures that younger students receive tailored assistance and may also facilitate communication with caregivers assigned to maintain regular contact with parents and the college.
To ensure the safety and security of under 18 students, all accommodations must be approved by the university. Additionally, within the classroom, learning materials and teaching methods are adjusted to meet the unique needs of younger students, guaranteeing they derive maximum benefit from every class.
