Overview
Emily Carr University of Art and Design is based out of Vancouver in British Columbia. Established in 1925, the institution is synonymous for excellence in education in Visual Arts, Design and Media Arts. The institution started as the Vancouver School of Applied and Decorative Arts and changed its name as it grew in size and stature. The School received University status in 2008. There are four faculties - Culture and Community, Design and Dynamic Media, Visual Art and Material Practice and Graduate Studies. From certificate courses to full-time undergraduate degrees and a Master in Design are offered.
