Overview
Vancouver Island University traces its origins to 1936 when an enterprising automotive mechanic Jack Macready began training eight boys as automotive mechanics in his shed. This humble start grew in size and stature progressing to a Training Centre and transforming into a community-funded University. The University has four campuses - Nanaimo, Cowichan, Parksville-Qualicum and Powell River. The University’s MBA program and MSc in International Business are highly rated. VIU welcomes international students from countries like India, Pakistan, Malaysia, China and France.
