What will I learn?

The Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management qualification provides the skills and knowledge for a student to be competent as a senior manager in any hospitality functional area (except kitchen). This individual would analyse, design and execute judgements using wide-ranging technical, creative, conceptual or managerial competencies. Their knowledge base may be specialised or broad and they are often accountable for group outcomes. Work would be undertaken in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.Subject areas include all subjects at Diploma level and additional subjects such as:Business plansFinance and budgetingHuman resources managementMarketing managementHotel and resort managementOn completion of Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management, employment opportunities become available in a variety of hospitality management functional areas. Students can also continue on to Bachelor Degree programs with Australian Professional Skills Institutes partnered Higher Education providers – Edith Cowan University.

Entry requirements

For international students

Student must complete Certificate III and Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and the Diploma of Hospitality Management (Commercial Cookery Stream).

Minimum 18 years of age

Completion of Year 11 or high school or equivalent

Have a passion to work in hospitality industry

IELTS (Academic) overall 6.0 with no individual band less than 5.0

IELTS (General) overall 6.0 with no individual band less than 5.5

Cambridge English Advanced CPE / Advanced CAE Minimum score 169

Pearson PTE Academic 52

Duolingo English Test Minimum 110 overall
