What will I learn?

As an occupational therapist you will work with people of all ages who may have experienced injury, illness or disability. You can help people to engage in occupations or activities that are meaningful to them and achieve independence, better health, wellbeing and satisfaction in their lives. In this course you will learn to identify physical, psychosocial, cognitive, behavioural and environmental factors that can help or hinder a persons participation in everyday activities. Youll learn to collaborate with other health professionals to provide cross-discipline care that is focused around the client and their needs. You will study in laboratories, learning spaces and resource rooms that are tailored for learning the skills required to work in occupational therapy.

Australian Qualifications: Year 12 English with a C grade or 50% or equivalent

For Diploma stage 2: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - 6.5 (no band below 6.0); Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - iBT 79 (R13, L12, S18, W21); General Certificate of Education (GCE) O-level / SPM 1119 – C; Pearson Test of English - Academic (PTE-A) - 69 (no skill < 59); Curtin English - English Language Bridging with B grade; Group of Eight (G8) University Foundation Programs - C or 50%; Linguaskill: 176 (169 in all bands)
