The UNSW Master of Education is a one-year full-time degree (or part-time equivalent) designed to enhance your career options and professional advancement opportunities. Graduates are equipped to progress into specialist fields of education or leadership roles within their existing fields, or into research degrees such as the PhD or EdD.

The Master of Education can be completed fully online or via a combination of online and face to face courses. Weve designed the program in a way that allows you to fit your study around your existing commitments – whether you have full-time work or caring responsibilities, or if you live further away from UNSW our students benefit from flexible delivery which includes being able to choose from courses that are delivered online as well as school holiday intensive and evening classes.

To gain entry into the Master of Education, youll need:
A recognised bachelor degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. Graduate Diploma of Education or Master of Teaching), OR
A four-year pre-service teacher education qualification, including professional experience, equivalent to the qualifications required for Graduate Teacher status in NSW.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest)
TOEFL: 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking)
