Entry requirements

For international students

Successful completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent, such as an interstate or international Year 12 qualification; and successful completion of Year 11 Mathematics or equivalent that includes topics in coordinate geometry, circular (trigonometric) functions, calculus, algebra, statistics and probability.

VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – a minimum study score of 20 in any English or English as an Additional Language (EAL).

English language requirements

Satisfactory completion of one of the following:

Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 4 Upper Intermediate level) with overall 65%, all skills 60%

minimum IELTS overall band of 5.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 5.0

TOEFL iBT (internet-based) 50 (no less than 5 in reading, 5 in listening, 14 in speaking, 15 in writing)

C1 Advanced 162, no band less than 154

Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 42 (no communicative skills less than 36)

any other equivalent assessment of English language proficiency.
