A B.Sc. in Biochemistry offers a multidisciplinary curriculum that gives students broad exposure to the life sciences with specific attention paid to the physical and chemical nature of biomolecular systems. The lab-intensive experience in this program prepares students to pursue post-graduate research opportunities in many different life science related fields. Graduates are also positioned to be successful in obtaining entrance to a number of professional programs, as well as employment in industry and government.
Students may enter this major in Semester 1 or any semester thereafter. A student wishing to declare the major may wish to consult the Faculty Advisor.
Discover the processes of life at the molecular level. Combine practical laboratory training in biochemistry, molecular biology and microbiology with courses in areas such as immunology, enzymologist or physiology. Gain real-world experience from co-op work terms, and complete an undergraduate research project. Enjoy challenging careers in medicine and pharmacy, academic research, governmental regulatory work, or in related business fields.

Pearson Test of English (PTE) - Minimum score of 60 and no score less than 60 for any individual component
Advanced Level of the English Language Certificate Program - Successful completion of the University of Guelph, Open Learning Advanced Level of the English Language Certificate Program (Levels 9 and 10).
