Students must complete high school for admission to the University of New Brunswick. They must complete six specific high school courses, according to their program of choice. UNB takes the overall average of the high school grades achieved in these six courses to calculate the student’s "minimum admission average", which is used to determine admissibility.
Course requirements:
Senior English Literature
Senior Math, including Pre-Calculus
1 other academic maths
Senior Chemistry
1 of Senior Physics, Senior Biology or Senior Geology (Senior Physics is required for entry into Health Sciences)
1 elective from group 1 or 2
Minimum admission average: 75% (The average marks in Pre-Calculus Math, Chemistry and the best other Science course must be at least 75 %.)

International students require the following English language proficiency minimum scores for direct entry into most academic programs: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 85, CAEL 60, or Pearson Vue Test 59.
