What will I learn?

The Computer Science (PhD) program is designed to provide students an opportunity to obtain the greatest possible expertise in their chosen field through intensive research.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Faculty of Science offer a four-year program of study leading to a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science.

Entry requirements

For international students

The following are minimum requirements to be considered for entry into the Computer Science (PhD) program.

To be considered for admission to the Computer Science (PhD) program, you must have:

A master's degree or equivalent from a recognized university

A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent in the last two years of study

English language proficiency

IAEP (Intensive Academic English Program) - Pass Level 5/AEPUCE (Academic English Program for University and College Entrance) with a minimum of 65% overall

IELTS (Academic module) (International English Language Testing System) - 6.5 overall

Internet-based TOEFL - Overall score of 86 (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking - 20)

Pearson Test of English Academic - 61 overall

Cambridge Assessment of English at the C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency level - Minimum score of 180
