What will I learn?

This teacher education degree includes 25 weeks of teaching placements, so you can get first-hand experience in the workplace and graduate with confidence in your skills. You can apply for TeachNZ scholarships to support your studies.The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) prepares you for this rewarding career. This specialty is designed for students who want to work as an early childhood teacher in an early childhood centre. Youll develop your understanding of early childhood education and the early childhood teaching national curriculum, Te Whariki. If you want to specialise in working with Pacific children, you can complete your practicum courses at a Pacific ECE centre, and study courses that develop your skills to be an effective early childhood teacher working with Pacific children.
