What will I learn?

This course is designed for people who may have no prior knowledge or experience in hairdressing and who wish to learn hairstyling and colouring skills and basic hair-cutting techniques.

When you graduate, you will have the knowledge, practical skills and attributes to contribute to the effective operation of a salon and perform limited salon and client services.

Or, you can further develop your hairdressing skills by continuing with our level 4 professional stylist programme.

You may be required to complete literacy and numeracy assessments as part of this programme.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants are required to complete Year 12 or equivalent of secondary school.

IELTS test: General or Academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5; TOEFL Paper-based test (pBT): Score of 500 (with an essay score of 4 TWE); TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): Score of 35 (with a writing score of 14); Cambridge English Examinations: B2 First or B2 First for Schools with a score of 154. No less than 154 in each skill; OET - Minimum of Grade C or 200 in all sub-tests; Pearson Test of English (Academic): PTE (Academic) score of 36 with no band score lower than 36.
