What will I learn?

For all current health professionals and those with a relevant undergraduate degree wishing to pursue postgraduate study in a health-related field. The Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science covers a broad range of health science subjects. Complete a generic programme or specialise in one subject area. Involves one year of full-time study or up to four years of part-time study. You can pick between a generic postgraduate diploma in health sciences or choose from one of our specialisations on offer. The PGDipHSc Medical Imaging programme is designed for medical imaging technologists (MITs) seeking to extend their understanding of medical imaging and contribute to the improvement of clinical health services by implementing their knowledge and expertise within medical imaging services.

Entry requirements

For international students

You must have completed an undergraduate degree at a recognised university (or similar institution) in a health-related discipline such as health sciences, medicine, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, psychology, or social work. You will need a Grade Point Average (GPA) or Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of at least 2.5. You must be a health professional currently working in these service areas.

You must have completed an undergraduate degree in medical imaging (or similar) at a recognised university (or similar institution) and have registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board.

English language requirements:

IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
