What will I learn?

This course was previously offered by Writtle University College prior to the merger with ARU in March 2024. This course will run on the ARU Writtle campus. This award is aimed at those individuals who hold a relevant level 5 award and who wish to develop their interest in livestock production. The farmed animal can be complex, with supporting needs that address the way in which the animal is managed to maximise production, when required, in a range of very diverse systems. This course aims to provide the student with an understanding of possible contributors to production performance; thereby enabling the individual to contribute positively to the agricultural industry. The development of excellent communication skills will be a key graduate attribute for students who have undertaken this award. This one-year Top-Up option is equivalent to Year 3 of our BSc (Hons) Animal Science (Livestock Technology), and will allow you to top-up your existing qualification to a full degree.
