What will I learn?

Overview

Build the knowledge and skills to interpret and understand genomic data on this course, which leads to a Master’s degree. You'll cover all major aspects of genomic science and medicine to better understand how genomic data impacts on service delivery. Designed to suit students from a range of science and healthcare backgrounds, you'll receive rigorous training in genomics and apply it to clinical practice and medical research. You'll be taught through a blended format of learning that incorporates face-to-face and online teaching, live webinars, and self-study in your eight taught modules. An extended research project provides you with an opportunity to explore a set area of medical genomics in further detail, using a range of research strategies. This work will develop your project management and problem-solving skills as you deepen your understanding of genomic medicine. The course programme also collaborates closely with the Institute of Cancer Research and Brunel University London to provide a broader range of training towards a career in research.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students need to have a minimum requirement is a 2.1 degree in a relevant medical, biomedical or healthcare subject. All candidates must demonstrate a minimum level of English language proficiency for admission to the College. Higher 7.0 overall (minimum 6.5 in all elements) and Students should have TOEFL scores 100 overall (minimum 22 in all elements).
