LLM Law, Technology and Innovation will enable you to apply for exciting career opportunities for tomorrow’s job market in the legal, finance and technology industries.
The course, which is conducted by leading academics, centres around seminars and lectures in which you critically evaluate legal issues such artificial intelligence and developments of law and policy arising from technology and associated emerging issues.
The course is aimed at both law and non-law graduates.
Students from both the UK and further afield will be able to draw on prior academic and professional experience from different jurisdictions.
There are two intakes to the LLM programmes, one in September and one in February, and you can study with us full or part time.
CAREERS
This course will open doors to a wide range of opportunities from a legal technologist within legal firms to working within IT companies or the Intellectual Property Office.

Volunteering
You can volunteer at our Legal Advice Clinic(Opens in a new tab). Under supervision, you can provide free legal advice to members of the public and small businesses. This will give you an opportunity to put your theoretical studies into practice and provide vital work experience.
Students are provided with many opportunities to volunteer in projects including virtual volunteering opportunities with a Regional Employment Judge, ELIPS (Employment Tribunal Litigant in Person Scheme), Shelter Cymru Volunteer Pathways Programme, Age Cymru Independent Volunteer Advocates and Cardiff Lawyers Care Homelessness Clinic.
