What will I learn?

We provide you with the essential skills, advanced knowledge and understanding of business and management to proceed to doctoral research.

Overview

Through the course you'll develop:

  • a thorough grounding in theory, approaches and research methods
  • associated ethics in the social sciences generally and also in management and business studies in particular
  • skills in the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative research data, as well as an understanding of cutting-edge research across the social sciences
  • the ability to reconcile different research approaches. You'll analyse data in a wide variety of formats, both qualitative and quantitative

Entry requirements

For international students

A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in any discipline. We will also consider your application on an individual basis if you have relevant professional experience. IELTS 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-skills). TOEFL 90 overall (with a minimum of 19 in listening, 20 in reading, 22 in speaking, and 20 in writing).
