What will I learn?

The role of the midwife is vital. Supporting women through pregnancy, labour, birth and during the postnatal period is a truly fulfilling career. You’ll be making a difference to the lives of women and their families – starting right here with this degree in midwifery. You’ll spend half your time in theoretical study in our award-winning Allam Medical Building, with all the advantages of its state-of-the-art facilities. For the other half, you’ll be on clinical placement, learning through mentored practical experience the skills you’ll need to become a confident, effective and fully qualified midwife.**Why study at Hull?** • **Fantastic facilities**: We’ve invested £28 million into our health campus. This is a yearly payment that you won’t have to pay back.• **Accredited qualifications**: The course is Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) accredited, so when you graduate, you’ll be eligible to register as a qualified midwife.**Where could this take me?** Midwifery is a vocational degree with most of our graduates going on to work as midwives after graduation.Our midwifery degree has a 100% employability rate – so the job prospects couldn’t be better – with graduates starting careers in the NHS as well as in private practice. Some even take their qualifications abroad to work as midwives overseas.
