What will I learn?

Our MSc Speech and Language Therapy (Pre-registration) course will prepare you for a successful career in the continually evolving health and social care sector. From day one your learning will link theoretical knowledge with professional practice, so by the time you graduate youll be equipped with the skills you need to pursue a successful career in speech and language therapy, where your work will transform lives. Working in our purpose-built rehabilitation and assessment facilities on campus, youll benefit from small class sizes. Your tutors will be on hand to offer you all the support you need throughout the course. As you progress youll undertake several work placements, giving you vital experience and employable skills. By Year 2 youll have identified the career path youd like to follow and undertake a full-time work placement in a relevant area of the health and social care sector. We have strong links with speech and language therapists working throughout the NHS, in private practice across the North West, charitable organisations, and international institutions. So youll get opportunities to gain experience of the full breadth of modern practice.

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants should hold a 2:2 degree or equivalent professional experience or learning in a related field. Non-standard applications will be considered on their merits in the light of the nature and scope of the programme. IELTS: Score of 8.0 with no component lower than 7.5 at point of application, GCSEs: Maths and English Language at Grade C/4.
