What is Performing Arts and Production

The School of Arts offers a stimulating and supportive intellectual environment, consisting of a diverse culture of interdisciplinary postgraduate research. You’ll benefit from working with a team of both research-active and industry-connected supervisors.

Drama

The growing drama community at UoG offers opportunities to engage in a rich programme of talks and workshops from visiting lecturers/companies. You’ll also benefit from our close links with local professional theatres and festivals.

Performing Arts

Postgraduate study in performing arts covers a wide range of topics, with a focus on interdisciplinary work. Members of the performing arts team have a particular interest in practice as research.

Dance

We have a well-established research reputation and strong links and partnerships with arts organisations, professional dance companies, dance practitioners and publishing houses in the UK and internationally.

Entry requirements

For international students

A master’s degree or equivalent in a subject area relevant to the proposed research topic. EU and international students need IELTS 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in any other component) or equivalent. TOEFL: Reading - 22; Writing -24; Listening - 21; Speaking - 23; Total - 88.
