What will I learn?

Students majoring in Associate in Arts in Art History for Transfer (AA-T in Art History) are provided with a rigorous and rich foundation in the history of art, critically examining the importance of artistic traditions in the study of human cultures. Through a variety of historical periods, students learn to identify, analyze, and interpret works of art and architecture as they reflect not only individual achievement but also the political, social, religious, and economic interests of the society from which they emerge.

Program Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

Successfully complete objective glossary quizzes that evaluate his/her developed vocabulary maturation as it relates to the discipline of art history.

Define and articulate appropriate art historical terminologies that are utilized in the analyses of aesthetic works of art and architecture.

Demonstrate a rudimentary understanding of the technical processes involved in standard historical art making.

Entry requirements

For international students

All applicants must provide proof of graduation from high school (or equivalent) in the form of official records/transcripts with certified English translation (if necessary). Students should submit transcripts from all years of study at the high school level. Students may also submit the GED or HISET to fulfill this requirement.

English proficiency can be met by submitting one of the following English proficiency tests:
