The Emergency Management/Homeland Security Administration Degree is designed to prepare the student for a career in disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.

What will I learn?

The student will receive course study in risk management and prioritization, multi-agency coordination, disaster planning, terrorist threat analysis, and terrorist ability and willingness to acquire and use weapons of mass destruction. Emergency Management and Homeland Security is one of the fastest growing career fields. It is becoming a valued asset in both the public and private sectors. The Emergency Management /Homeland Security program has a 2 + 2 agreement with West Texas A&M. After achieving an AAS degree from SAC, the student may continue to work toward a bachelor degree from West Texas A&M.
