The program proudly prepares students to work in the specialized field of cardiovascular medicine, operating in the Invasive Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Students will become competent performing complex cardiac procedures to include: Percutaneous Transcatheter Coronary Angiography (PTCA), Peripheral Coronary Interventions (PCI), Electrophysiology studies, Peripheral Vascular Angiography/Interventions, Hemodynamic Cardiac Pressure Monitoring, and Acute Cardiac Life Saving (ACLS). Graduates of the program qualify to challenge the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential exam by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
