The Respiratory Care Technology program is a sequenced learning experience offering classroom, laboratory, and clinical experiences relevant to the practice of state-of-the-art respiratory care. Graduates of the program receive an Associate of Applied Science degree and are prepared for the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
What I will learn?
You will learn content and clinical practice experiences that are designed to sequentially develop, apply, critically analyze, integrate, synthesize and evaluate concepts and theories in the performance of respiratory care procedures. Through structured, sequential, competency-based clinical assignments, concepts of team practice, patient-centered clinical practice and professional development are discussed, examined and evaluated.

What's special about the program?
Respiratory Care involves the assessment and therapeutic management of patients diagnosed with cardiopulmonary disease. Practitioners perform procedures involving the administration of oxygen and medical gases, humidity/aerosol therapy, varied breathing treatments, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, diagnostic lung function testing, and patient/family education.
