CCSU's BS in Computer Science- Honors prepares students for a wide variety of exciting careers. Students earn a broad range of critical skills in software development, computer security, networking, databases, artificial intelligence, and many more.
The Computer Science- Honors major is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET. Accredited programs must meet or exceed standards for faculty, curriculum, laboratory and computing resources, students, and institutional support.

Learning Outcomes
Graduates will apply a broad understanding of the fundamental theories, concepts, and applications of computer science in their career.
(ABET SO-1) Analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.
(ABET SO-2) Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program's discipline.
(ABET SO-6) Apply computer science theory and software development fundamentals to produce computing-based solutions.
Graduates will be engaged in a wide range of careers and/or graduate studies in computer science or related fields with a passion for lifelong learning.
(ABET SO-5) Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program's discipline.
Graduates will communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and engaged in collaborative teamwork.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Information on the TOEFL may be obtained from Educational Testing Services. The three versions of the TOEFL that a prospective student may take are listed here with minimum acceptable scores:
The International English Language Testing System Exam (IELTS) is also accepted. A minimum band score of 6.5 is required for admissions consideration.
Duolingo English Test (DET) - minimum score of 95
Application deadline: International students should apply by April 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester.
