What will I learn?

The combined B.S. in Information Technology and Cybersecurity/M.S. in Computer Science program allows students to earn a B.S. in Information Technology and Cybersecurity and an M.S. in Computer Science in a total of 5 years. Up to nine (9) semester credit hours of graduate electives at the CS/CEG 6000/7000 may be double-counted and applied to both the B.S. and the M.S degree requirements.

Program Learning Outcomes:

Student who completes the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Cybersecurity will have:

An ability to apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the program’s student outcomes and to the discipline

An ability to analyse a problem, and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate to its solution

An ability to design, implement, and evaluate a computer-based system, process, component, or program to meet desired needs

An understanding of professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities

An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences

An ability to analyse the local and global impact of computing on individuals, organizations, and society

Entry requirements

For international students

Information Technology and Cybersecurity major

Have accumulated between 60 and 90 credit hours toward your degree

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2

Overall GPA in computer science and engineering courses of at least 3.2

English proficiency from one of these tests: TOEFL 61; IELTS: 5.5 with no sub score lower than 5.0; Pearson PTE: 51; Duolingo: 110; Cambridge test: Minimum scaled score of 162, with no subscore below 154, on the Cambridge English Qualifications; graduation from a United States high school.

Application dealine: April 30 for fall admission, October 10 for spring admission, February 28 for Summer admission.
