The Certificate in Sustainable Business prepares managers and entrepreneurs to help lead organizations toward financially viable business practices that contribute to a more equitable economy and a healthier natural environment. Students in the program learn how to articulate the business case for sustainability and inclusive prosperity, conceptualize innovative products and services, lead internal and external coalitions to address social innovation, and implement metrics to measure sustainability progress.

Applicants educated outside of the United States must have earned a degree or diploma that SF State considers to be the equivalent of a 4-year U.S. bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Applicants who hold a Bologna degree comprised of 180 ECTS may be eligible for admission following comprehensive evaluation of documents.
TOEFL score of at least 80 (or 550 PBT), IELTS score of at least 7.0 or PTE score of at least 65 is required.
