The Master of Arts in Teaching is an innovative degree designed for working K-12 teachers. The 32-hour program is centered on writing pedagogy, practical literacy strategies, and teacher research. Teachers enrolled in the MAT program select from a combination of on-campus, online, and hybrid workshops and complete a final research project under the direction of faculty advisors and OWP mentors.

A cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 out of 4.00
Applicants for graduate study must have earned at least a 4-year U.S. equivalent Baccalaureate degree. Typically, 16 years of schooling with four years of full-time study at the university level, culminating with the award of a first or second degree.
At least one year of teaching experience Bachelors Degree from an accredited school
Proof of English Proficiency: All international students must provide proof of English proficiency by meeting ONE of the following requirements: TOEFL iBT - 80; IELTS - 6.5; PTE - 54; Duolingo - 110.
