What will I learn?

Mathematics is a broad discipline that contains a range of areas of specialization within it. The required core courses provide fundamental background for mathematics in general. The concentrations allow the student to broaden this background or begin to specialize. Students must complete the core courses and a concentration.

Students in the Mathematics major can choose one of the following to complete the major:

Mathematics major, Applied Mathematics concentration

Mathematics major, Graduate Preparation concentration

Mathematics major, Mathematics Teaching concentration

Mathematics major, Operations Research concentration

Entry requirements

For international students

Students should complete their high school courses and grades

GPA: 3.50-3.93

TOEFL scores are TOEFL: 103-111

Along with the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Testing System (IELTS) can also be used to show English proficiency. The typical scores for admission are a total of 7.5 to 8, with a score of at least 6 on all 4 modules.
