The Department of Physics and Applied Physics offers the following Master's of Science degrees.
M.S. in Physics, General, Thesis or Non-Thesis requires a minimum of 30 credit hours with at most 3 credit hours from colloquium or seminar courses.
M.S. in Physics, Optical Sciences Option is a terminal Master’s Program for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree program in Physics, Engineering, or other sciences and wish to specialize in electro-optical phenomena, lasers, applications of optics to telecommunication and information processing, fiber optics, and other optical materials and devices.
