Other eligibility requirements

The International Regional Entrance Scholarships were established to financially support international students coming to Langara College in pursuit of higher education. Applicants can apply for the CAN $7,500 award if they are planning to start their full-time undergraduate studies in the specified semester. Eligible recipients will have CAN $5,000 applied towards the cost of tuition and fees in their first term of study. Recipients must maintain a CGPA of 2.67 in their first term and be registered full-time in an eligible program to receive the balance of their award as tuition credit in their second term of study. Eligibility Criteria

Recipients will:

Be admitted or conditionally admitted to Langara as an international student for the specified semester;
Intend to study full-time (nine or more credits) in a regular studies undergraduate program;
Have IELTS 7.0 with no bands less than 6.5, or equivalent. Students who are residents of and completed formal education from English-speaking countries may be exempt from this requirement. Grades in English courses may be considered;
Have a minimum 80% GPA from high school or post-secondary institution. Post-secondary only to be considered if a full credential has been completed from a college or university outside of Canada;
Be from one of the following regions: Americas, Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, Middle East, Europe, or CIS.
