Research-based Master’s or Doctoral female applicants who will be registered full-time in the Quantum Information Graduate Program at the University of Waterloo, a program in which women are underrepresented. Underrepresented criteria are subject to annual review and may change as per framework from IAP and Dean’s Council.
Strong academic achievement as demonstrated through their transcripts; a minimum cumulative average of 85% is required.
Potential for research excellence as demonstrated through their academic contributions and references as provided in their application for admission to their graduate program.
Candidates will be conducting research in quantum information science and technology at IQC with an IQC faculty member or IQC affiliate as a supervisor or co-supervisor.
Candidates must self-identify as female in their graduate application for admission.
This scholarship will be in addition to any Research or Teaching Assistantship support from the department or a supervising faculty member
This scholarship can be held simultaneously with other graduate awards (subject to the requirements of other scholarships/awards)
IQC Scholarship Committee members will select a recipient annually based on the applicant’s application for admission to the graduate program for the upcoming Fall term or following Winter term as well as supervisor nominations. The IQC Scholarship Committee will be chaired by the IQC Graduate Program Director.
