Up to 20 awards of up to £3,000 are made each year. The scholarship is awarded for three years of study, as long as you meet the criteria for renewal. Students on undergraduate courses lasting longer than three years are welcome to apply, but the funding will only be guaranteed for the first three years.
Eligibility
You can apply if you are:
intending to start studying at the University of Bristol in the autumn
an International or Home (UK) student.
The scheme is designed to attract students with exceptional abilities outside their normal field of study, therefore a Music student would not be eligible for a music scholarship, etc. Liberal Arts students who follow the Film or Theatre subject pathways would not be eligible for a drama Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship.
Scholarship applications are considered by:
the Music, Drama, or Sport department
and the Pro Vice-Chancellors.
You need to apply separately for this scholarship
Application forms will be available from Monday 11 December 2024.
There are three separate application forms for Drama, Music, and Sport (which includes the application for the University's Performance Squad). Apply using the application form for your scholarship of choice.
Applications close at 12 midday Monday 5 March 2025.
Late applications and applications without a supporting reference are not accepted.
