I recommend
I recommend the school - especially for students of fine art or illustration interested in a classical realism focus.

Harvard of Art Schools
It was a pricey adventure, but it is and was well worth it! I seriously would suggest this school to everyone I know.

Amazing school
AAU is an amazing school. It gives everyone an opportunity to learn and develop their passion regardless of their finances, race, religion, skill level or talent. How do you know that you have talent unless you give it a shot? Why do you need good grades in high school to be an artist and develop talent? Why do you have to have a portfolio to go to school to become an artist? Why not be able to go to school when you finally discover your passion? AAU allows everyone the opportunity to learn, grow and develop themselves as an artist no matter what their history is. That is an amazing opportunity!

Good instructors
If you plan on going to AAC, I think you could have a great time and you can learn a lot if you work hard. In the upper classes expect to work over 80-90 hours a week, at least in my department.

Excellent faculty
I feel that in the fashion department, the atmosphere seems quite different than other majors.

Amazing ride
I'm about to graduate...after 7 YEARS!! I've worked and commuted, and finally it is all over. I have to say, it was an amazing ride. If you aren't prepared to give 110%, don't even bother. If you can't handle critique from a teacher and other students, you sure aren't going to make it in a design firm in the real world. I definitely recommend this school.

Good options
I graduated today..yeah!!! I start my new job at Pixar, June 20th. The University has 7500 students. The students in my major were for the most part very happy with the instructors and facilities. AAU is not for everyone. If you don't know what you want to do...go to a community college and save your money.

Learned a lot
I've been here a little under a year and I will admit I am enrolled in one of the school's best departments.

Independent school
I am a firm believer of the fact that college is what YOU make of it. If you come into an environment where you are unprepared, afraid or close-minded than you are likely to fail. The Academy of Art, overall is a good school. Make your own decisions and good luck.
