Started in 1964 as the Napier Technical College, the Institution expanded in leaps and bounds to become a full-fledged University in 1992. The Napier University Business School, Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Creative industries and the Faculty of Health, Life and Social Sciences are the three Faculties under which over 14,000 students pursue their education at Edinburgh Napier University.
