The main intakes begin when most courses start in September, however, some courses have intakes in January and April.
The University of Greenwich boasts modern facilities across three campuses. Over the last five years, it has invested almost GBP 80 million in labs, social and teaching spaces, as well as sports facilities. Students have access to a range of academic facilities, including well-stocked libraries, TV studios, editing suites, and clinical skills laboratories that replicate NHS wards. To meet this demand, work placement programmes are offered by the University of Greenwich’s Business School and Faculty of Engineering and Science, blending campus based study with a year of industrial practice where students will gain key industry experience and professional insights. Every year, the University of Greenwich’s is awarded to the brightest and best international students in the form of a tuition fee reduction. Applicants need to be international students holding an offer for a full-time course paying the fees at the international rate. Scholarships up to £5000 are available.
New EU students will be supported by the EU Bursary in the form of tuition fee reduction for each year of study. Applicants need to be EU students holding an offer for a full-time course. The EU Bursary is available up to £3000 and applied automatically to all EU students record.
International students can receive a five percent discount on their net tuition fees. To achieve this discount, students need to make the full payment before 30th September for courses starting in September and before 31st January for January starters.
International applicants for postgraduate courses can apply for a tuition fee reduction if they complete an undergraduate degree at either University of Greenwich or a partner college. A 20 percent tuition fee reduction will be given if the applicant holds a first-class or upper second-class undergraduate degree. A 10 percent reduction will be awarded if the applicant achieves a lower second-class degree or completes an Erasmus placement with the university.
International applicants can either apply to the University of Greenwich via an authorised in-country representative or directly through a free online form.

Entry requirements vary depending on the course, and all admissions offers are sent electronically to either the agent or directly to the student’s e-mail account.
If applicants meet their chosen programme’s criteria, they may receive an unconditional offer from the university.
Conditional offers will be made to applicants who do not yet meet the specific entry requirements, including if academic qualifications still need to be completed. If applicants do not meet course requirements, they may also be offered a place on a more suitable programme or have the chance to apply for the University of Greenwich International College (UGIC). Depending on the course applied for, applicants may need to meet country-specific requirements.
Alternative English tests such as TOEFL, PTE Academic, GCSE English or WAEC English Language are also considered. If the applicant does not meet the English language requirements, they can take a test available online.

Over the last five years, the University of Greenwich has invested over GBP 80 million in campus facilities. This includes libraries, computing, student centres and sports facilities. The libraries boast working spaces, group study rooms, computers, and thousands of books.
There has also been an additional investment for computing facilities and teaching spaces in the Dreadnought Building. Reopened in 2018 after a GBP 25 million makeover, it now houses the Greenwich Students’ Union, a gym and social space.

Dreadnought Building
A central hub for students, the Dreadnought Building is home to the Students’ Union. It boasts plenty of spaces to study and socialise, including gyms, cafes, and an events area in the basement.
Sport plays a big part in university life, and all campuses have fully equipped gyms. The Avery Hill campus also has a specialist sports centre with two floodlit all-weather sports pitches and a five-court sports hall.
The University of Greenwich’s two libraries are well-stocked with books and learning resources. The Drill Hall library provides 400 computers, training rooms and several group study areas, while in-depth academic support from essay writing to study skills are provided by the academic skills team at the Stockwell Street library.
All three campuses have brilliant transport links. The intercampus bus services which run between Greenwich and Avery Hill is free, and there is a small fee between Medway Campus and the other sites.
Both Greenwich and Avery Hill campuses offer quick connections to central London via bus and train, and Medway Campus is just 45-minutes away by train.
