Sacred Heart University (SHU) was established in 1963 to serve the needs of aspiring college students in the Bridgeport area. Today, SHU is among the fastest-growing and most forward-looking Catholic universities in the U.S. The university is home to 10,000 full-time and part-time undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. Fresh and updated degree programs and majors in relevant disciplines are regularly added to SHU鈥檚 curriculum. The Jack Welch College of Business & Technology is a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship on campus. The college houses the School of Computer Science & Engineering. In addition to new programs in growing fields like cybersecurity and business analytics, Welch Incubator funds to support student startups and numerous networking opportunities.
