The University of Connecticut (UConn) is an internationally leading research university, with a total of five campus sites located across the state. UConn offers courses at several levels of study, including bachelors, masters, doctorate and advanced certificate level, and many carry accreditation from leading professional bodies. Costs vary between courses, but students can typically expect the following for the 2023-24 academic year.

In addition to tuition fees, students on most programs will need to consider expenses such as university and student fees, housing costs and meal plan fees.
International students enrolled on MBA, MS, or Graduate Certificate programs pay a variable fee rate, based on their number of credits and cost per credit.
For example, the MSFRM program covers fall, spring, and summer semesters, while the MSBAPM and MS Fintech courses include optional summer terms, leading to different overall costs. International students should note that, in order to secure the I-20 proof of study enrollment certificate, proof of adequate funding must be provided. Students must have enough funds to cover the first year of study and submit a financial declaration form. Students should note that bringing dependents will result in higher attendance cost estimations.
All PhD in Business students at UConn receive full tuition coverage, and students receiving financial aid can generally expect up to 5 years of support. Doctoral students receive a Graduate Assistantship (GA) package which includes: a tuition waiver, subsidized health insurance, and a generous 9-month GA stipend which covers fall and spring semesters. Additional financial support options for the summer semester can be secured though the PhD Program Office, as well as travel or research funding.
All University of Connecticut graduate programs, including those at School of Business, are admitted via “The Graduate School” at UConn. As a result, entry is subject to .

For students with a three-year bachelor’s degree from countries such as Canada, Australia, India, Sri Lanka or certain others, their qualification will not be regarded as equivalent to a four-year US bachelor’s degree. This is the case even when the qualification has been externally accredited as a four-year degree.
Students who do not speak English as their primary, native language will need to provide evidence of a minimum proficiency level in English language. This can be achieved through submission of one of the following:
Overall scores of 79 (Internet-based test – iBT/ iBT Home Edition), 550 (Old Paper-based test – PBT) or 22/30 on each of the listening, reading, and writing sections (“New” Paper-based test- PBT), or higher.
A minimum overall score on the IELTS Academic test of 6.5 or above. Other IELTS test types are not valid.
A PTE test score of 53 or above, overall.
A Duolingo test score of 100 or above, overall.
It is possible to quality for a score waiver through the submission of sufficient evidence to justify the waiving of normal test requirements.
Students can work towards a UCAELI (University of Connecticut American English Language Institute) Proficiency Certificate which will function as evidence of their meeting academic proficiency in English.
Students should note that scores from Duolingo, IELTS, PTE and TOEFL are valid for two years from the date of the test.
