Established in 1889 as New Mexico鈥檚 flagship institution, the University of New Mexico today offers a wide variety of academic programs across twelve schools and colleges. The university occupies close to 800 acres in the heart of Albuquerque, a metropolitan area with a population of over 900,000 people.
