Deakin also provides additional work experience opportunities through its unique FreelancingHUB, using which students can apply for internships as freelancers working to deliver an impactful outcome for a client.

What’s new

Deakin University has made significant progress in moving up 33 places in the QS World University Rankings 2024, to break into the . The university’s overall rank of 233, its best in the QS World University Rankings, confirms its position in the top one percent of universities around the world. The prestigious rankings focus on five criteria: research and discovery, learning experience, employability and outcomes, global engagement and sustainability.

Deakin Vice-Chancellor Professor Iain Martin had this to say in his congratulatory speech to the Deakin community on its achievement:

"As we approach our 50th anniversary at the end of 2024, I am pleased that Deakin's progress and leadership continue to be recognised on a global stage.
