La Trobe College Australia (LTCA) is a specialist college which provides a direct pathway to admission at La Trobe University (LTU). Successful completion of the college pathway program guarantees progression to one of the many undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by LTU.
There are two LTCA locations in Australia, one in Melbourne and one in Sydney, and each is attached to an LTU campus. Studying and living in Australia is a rich and diverse experience – Melbourne and Sydney each represent one of the great modern multicultural cities of the world, offering a dynamic lived experience. There are plenty of opportunities to socialise, with a vibrant restaurant, bar and nightlife scene, as well as developed cultural sectors with museums, art galleries and local music events.
Australia is a vast country with beautiful landscapes and wild, untouched natural scenery. Both cities are coastal, and students are only a short distance from the sandy beaches and warm waters of Australia’s southern coastline. Melbourne and Sydney both regularly rank among the most liveable cities in the world, and among the most popular for international students.
LTCA is the preferred pathway provider to LTU, and there are a variety of options tailored towards different courses and entry points at the university. A diploma from LTCA is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree, meaning students can progress directly to the second year of their degree course.
Fast track options are available and start dates are flexible. The college's qualifications are highly regarded and are also accepted by other Australian Universities. LTCA students benefit from the same use of the university facilities as their LTU peers, including state-of-the-art libraries, study spaces and sports facilities, and can even join the university clubs and societies. LTCA encourages a successful and confident transition to further university education.
