After working in IT industry for 6 Years, I have decided to come to Canada for higher education in 2011. The Lambton college was my option because they were running programs all the terms including Summer of 2011 and fees were reasonable compared to other universities/countries. In addition, Canada has always had excellent pathway to immigration upon graduating from Canadian colleges. Please select your program duration wisely as it could have impact on your post graduate open work permit. During the admission process, I have received proper guidance and honest answers when I called Lambton college few times to clarify what my Agent told me. I had a diverse in-class experience as I had many students from Canada, China, Nigeria, Vietnam, South Korea, India and many more. Teaching is exceptional as the staffs involve students in the group discussions and respect every opinion. Because of the diverse class rooms, I have always experienced wonderful discussions involving different perceptions and thought processes. The college has awarded me a scholarship of $500 during my second term for my academic performance. The college also periodically posted on-campus jobs. This Canadian job experience are priceless and essential as they guide you to further success in Canada. I was humbled when I received my first part-time job on campus in Accounting and Finance department. Later, I was also able to apply and complete my Co-op in the Finance department itself. After graduation, I continued with Finance for sometime and left College for a month or so to start looking for IT jobs where I can use my newly acquired Finance and Banking experience. I was lucky to find an IT job opening at the college itself. Sarnia is a small town and it is a best place to live and raise families. So, I immediately applied for the IT job in College and hoped I would get an interview. Eventually, I was able to get the job. The college has been part of my Canadian journey since 2011. I went from Student Permit to Work Permit to Permanent Resident to Canadian Citizen now. I highly recommend this college based on my experience. I also recommend Sarnia because of its friendly people, places and events. I was able to volunteer at few places in Sarnia and become part of the local photography club as soon as I arrived in Canada. Those local connections keep your Canadian experience even richer and give a good break from constantly studying and working. All the very best for all new Students. show less

Becoming an international student is a challenge by itself. Once one has decided to enroll in a school program overseas, the next step is to choose a country, a city, and a school, not necessarily in that order. But if you have decided to study in Canada, you have to ask yourself what your objective is. If studying and working in Canada is what one pursues, Lambton is a great choice. I had the opportunity to volunteer and get involved in in-campus extracurricular activities that gave me the skills to interact with diverse cultures and backgrounds, including, of course, the Canadian one. This, to me, was incredibly enriching. Also, the college's size allowed me to develop a cordial and lasting relationship with staff members and instructors with working Canadian experience, which is highly valuable for off-campus activities. Studying here was an experience I will cherish forever. show less
