Eligible international students starting an undergraduate program at Ontario Tech can apply to receive up to CAD 30,000 per year over four years. Valued at CAD 120,000, this is one of Ontario Tech’s most prestigious entrance awards.
Awards of recognition
Eligible international students who have studied at a Canadian high school can receive up to $4,000 CAD in the first year of study. This is based on excellent scores in 4U/4M courses or equivalent.
Eligible international students who have already started their undergraduate studies at Ontario Tech can receive up to CAD 3,500. This is based on achieving a minimum GPA score of 3.7 in a single year of undergraduate study.

To study at Ontario Tech, all students must be proficient in the English language. Those whose first language is not English, or who have not recently completed three years of study where the instruction was in English, must prove their ability through an .

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – a score of at least 6.5 with no section lower than 6.0 (Nursing and Education programs need at least 7.0).

Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic – a score of at least 58.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Internet-based test (iBT) – a score of at least 83 (Nursing and Education programs at least 87) with at least 20 in listening, reading and writing, and 19 in speaking.
