About this course

What will I learn?

The survival of all life on earth depends on properly functioning ecosystems. Without biodiversity, ecosystems break down. When this happens, our water systems, the air we breathe and the environments in which we grow food are all impacted. Conserving the environment has become a global priority, and those with specialist skills in not only reducing our footprint but also identifying strategies for preserving our rich diversity are in demand.The broad and flexible Bachelor of Biodiversity and Conservation 鈥� which uniquely combines studies in plant and animal sciences, ecology and new remote sensing with environmental and conservation management 鈥� will equip you with such specialist skills.

Entry requirements

For international students

To apply for an undergraduate program, international students will need to have completed one or more of the following academic qualifications:

  • A recognised senior secondary school qualification or university entrance examination, such as the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) or other equivalent Australian or overseas high school qualification
  • A recognised university Foundation course
  • A recognised 2 or 3-year Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree
  • At least one year of a university degree from a recognised institution

English language requirements

  • IELTS Academic - IELTS of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band, or equivalent
  • TOEFL iBT - 83 (Reading - 13; Writing - 21; Listening - 12; Speaking - 18)
  • PTE Academic - 58 minimum 52 in each band, or equivalent
  • Cambridge English (C1A or C2P) - 180 minimum 169 in each band, or equivalent
  • Occupational English Test (OET) - (Reading - C+; Writing - C+; Listening - C/C+; Speaking - C/C+)
  • Duolingo English Test (DET) - 115 minimum 110 in each band, or equivalent
