What will I learn?

Understand the essential elements of both law and business with a Bachelor of Business Law. Tailor your degree to suit your specific interests and career goals with a flexible curriculum comprised of electives chosen from the Faculty of Law and Bond Business School with the opportunity to select a business major.

The Professionalism and Legal Skills Program embedded in your law subjects includes essential skills such as legal writing and reasoning, oral communication, advocacy, dispute resolution, negotiation, and legal ethics and professionalism.

You will also have the opportunity to gain practical experience through internships and work experience.

The Bachelor of Business Law program provides an opportunity to combine legal subjects of particular interest with study in related business disciplines. The degree structure permits various combinations of law and non-law subjects (including the option of completing a business major), which enables you to design a program to meet your particular career interests.

The Bachelor of Business Law is an ideal qualification for anyone interested in working in a commercial environment as it provides you with an understanding of both the law and business.

Graduating with a business law degree provides you with an array of business skills which include critical thinking, analysis, problem solving, conflict resolution and advocacy which can be transferred into any non-legal role. You can work in professional in roles that could include business administration, office manager, human resources, business consultant and compliance officer.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students who have completed Year 12 in Australia or equivalent secondary studies in other countries.

English language proficiency requirements:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic Overall score 7.0 with no sub score less than 6.5

Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT): Overall score 94, no scores below 24 in Writing, and 20 in Speaking, Reading and Listening

Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Academic Overall score 65 with no Communicative Scores below 58
