Change within the legal industry is not just inevitable – it is accelerating. The world of business and technology has a growing influence on all aspects of law – from education, training and the delivery of legal services to shifting cultures and mindsets.
New technologies and increased globalisation are creating unprecedented potential for start-ups, entrepreneurship, and business transformation across every industry. Think Non-Fungible Tokens, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence and robotics.
This brave new world is disrupting how the law is interpreted, applied, and practised at every level – both within the legal industry itself, and outside of it. Graduates with skills in law and entrepreneurship will thrive in any industry and any setting.
Bond’s Bachelor of Entrepreneurial Transformation / Bachelor of Laws is a unique transdisciplinary program that combines the qualifications needed to practise as a lawyer, with skills in entrepreneurship, digital technology, design thinking and innovation. Students graduate as active global citizens with the imagination to contribute to the development of thriving future societies.
This is how you change the world.
Our fast-track trimester timetable makes tackling a double degree at Bond easy. In fact, you can complete two degrees here in less time than you could graduate with just one degree at most other universities. Bond’s Bachelor of Entrepreneurial Transformation / Bachelor of Laws can be completed in just 11 semesters (less than four years).
The Bachelor of Entrepreneurial Transformation offers students an immersive, transdisciplinary learning experience in line with employer needs. Students work with an industry mentor from semester one and draw on the knowledge of multiple faculties and study disciplines. Graduates have a robust view of entrepreneurship, a flexible skillset, and a niche area of specialisation. The program prepares graduates for careers in the corporate, government, community, and non-profit sectors and the local, national, and global marketplace.
The Bachelor of Laws prepares students for a career as a legal professional. It provides students with a thorough grounding in essential areas of substantive law and access to a wide choice of law elective subjects, including the option of completing a specialisation, major or double major. An integrated skills and professionalism program is embedded in the degree and focuses on core legal skills essential to the practice of law. The Bachelor of Laws provides an engaging learning experience that challenges students academically and prepares them for a legal career.
Where will your degree take you?
The Bachelor of Entrepreneurial Transformation / Bachelor of Laws enables you to graduate with two undergraduate degrees. The combined degrees provide you with the professional outcomes and opportunities of both individual degrees.
Completing these combined degrees will provide opportunities for a range of careers in the legal industry, private and international organisations, government and not for profit sectors.
To become a legal practitioner, you are required to complete a practical legal training program such as the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) or a traineeship following the completion of the Bachelor of Laws degree. Graduates may seek to practise law whilst utilising an understanding of the global environment or employ their understanding of law to work in industries with a global perspective such as diplomacy, foreign affairs, or international business with a background in compliance, regulation, and intellectual property.
