This major will develop your fundamental statistical and programming skills in data analytics, which you will apply to a range of commercial and economic contexts. You will also gain the written and oral communication skills necessary to present this analysis to a range of business stakeholders.
There has been an explosion in ‘big data’ over the past 20 years. In the commercial field, businesses now have access to a huge variety of data, from consumer-related information, through to supply chain and logistics data.

This major is will give you the confidence to apply data analytics across a range of business functions, including marketing, finance and economics. Extend your knowledge and undertake a second major in a related discipline such as finance, economics, or data science. The combination of technical knowledge and practical applications has the potential to substantially increase your employability upon graduation. Graduates may enter into professions such as Data Analyst, Economist or Marketing Analyst.
Further Study
Following successful completion of this major, students may be interested in enrolling in a postgraduate Master of Business Analytics or Master of Data Science to further their skill set.

Entry requirements may vary from country to country. Students are required to complete an international academic qualification equivalent to Australian High School (or equivalent).
English language requirements:
IELTS (academic): Overall minimum score of 6.5, no band lower than 6.0
TOEFL Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): an overall score of 82 or above with a minimum score of 22 in writing, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking and 20 in listening
Pearsons Test of English (PTE) (academic): An overall score of 64 with a minimum score of 59 in the speaking and writing sections, and no less than 54 in the other sections
