OVERVIEW

The Certificate IV in Residential Drafting teaches you practical skills for working effectively in a building design environment.

In this exciting course, youll grow your confidence using popular building design technologies with help from TAFE NSWs highly experienced teaching staff. This includes using computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce drawings and compliant documentation, using building information modelling (BIM) capable software, and creating digital 3-D models of building designs.

During this course, you will also benefit from simulated work environments where you can practise your new skills and develop your portfolio of work to take into the industry.

Graduates of this course can go on to draftsperson roles or pursue further study to become an accredited building designer.

TAFE NSW allows for two or more courses to be packaged together, either to meet the prerequisite requirements for a course or to plan your studies around your career goals. You can submit a single TAFE NSW application form and will be able to apply for one Student Visa for the full duration of the package.
