What will I learn?

CIEs specialised Degree Transfer programs are equivalent to the first year of a Bachelors degree at the University of Newcastle. They include English language tuition, study skills, problem solving and communications skills, as well as the introduction to your chosen specialty. Successful completion of a Degree Transfer program allows students to progress into second year of an undergraduate degree without the need to provide any additional test results (eg. IELTS) when transitioning into uni.Degree Transfer Information Technology provides a pathway into Year 2 of either the Bachelor of Information Technology or the Bachelor of Computer Science.

Satisfactory completion of an Australian Higher School Certificate or equivalent / ATAR of 50 or higher

English Requirement

  • IELTS - 5.5 overall (Speaking and Writing band 5.5 or above with no band below 5.0) or equivalent
  • iBT TOEFL - 50 overall (16 or above in Speaking and Writing)
  • PTE Academic – 48
  • KITE - Main flight score of 415, speaking and writing score min 415 each
  • HKDSE - Level 3
  • STPM - Literature (920) with a min score of D-, D, D+
