What will I learn?

Whether you’re looking for a pathway to an undergraduate degree or contemplating a career change, Bond University College’s diploma programs are the ideal steppingstone to university studies.

Our flexible program allows you to customise your subject load and manage your transition to study – starting with one or two subjects part-time and building to full-time as your confidence grows. Or you can complete the diploma in just eight months studying full-time and start your bachelor’s degree at the third semester mark.

Our Diploma of Arts is a direct pathway into a broad range of undergraduate programs, including communication, creative arts, film and television, global studies (sustainability), humanities, international relations, journalism, psychological science, and social science. It offers an introduction to concepts such as global citizenship and the role of languages in creating culture, as well as foundation studies in communication, international relations, and content creation.

One of the key benefits of starting your university studies with a diploma is the extra support Bond University College offers. You’ll be well prepared for academic study in your first few weeks with an intensive skills program that covers essay writing, critical reading, study techniques, and time management; there’s more face-to-face teaching time in small group classes; and you’ll have access to one-on-one tutoring, workshops and targeted study help with our Academic Skills Centre.

The Diploma of Arts opens up a wide range of career and further study opportunities in disciplines including Communication, Creative Arts, Film and Television, Global Studies (Sustainability), Humanities, International Relations, Journalism, Psychological Science and Social Science. The Diploma of Arts will teach students core skills to enhance their career prospects, whether that be a student fresh out of school or someone wishing to upgrade their qualifications.

Successful completion of the Diploma of Arts guarantees students a place in most undergraduate degrees at Bond University, with a possible 80 credit points credited towards their new program of study.

Where will your degree take you?

No matter what your chosen career is, a foundation in arts will set you up for success in both creative and corporate environments, equipping you with a broad set of skills essential to all professions.

Based on further study and your chosen field of specialisation, your professional outcomes could vary. However, by pairing your diploma with further undergraduate study, you could open the door to a range of opportunities in your career.

Below is an outline of some of the possible roles if you pursue further study in study areas including communications, film, creative media, international relations, politics, and arts.
